Steiff release limited edition Orinoco Womble

Premium toy company Steiff have released an Orinoco Womble collectible, though be aware: the £275 price tag reflects its target audience! As the product description says, “this product is not a toy and is intended for adult collectors only”.

The new Orinoco is a UK exclusive, based on the new-look CGI Wombles design (with visible teeth) - not to be confused with an earlier product released in 2004 with a classic design based on the 1998 ITV television series.

“In keeping with his Womble beliefs”, the new 34cm Steiff Orinoco is made from sustainable high-quality linen plush material and filled with PES fibres made from recycled PET plastic bottles.

Orinoco is limited to 973 pieces - perhaps inspired by The Wombles’ 1973 TV debut.
