Mike Batt has revealed on Twitter that the original Wombles albums will be re-released later this year on CD and vinyl.
Mike Batt was interviewed on Aled Jones’ popular Sunday musical chat show on BBC Radio Wales. The one-hour radio show is available to listen again on the BBC iPlayer or to download as a podcast until 23 May.

Mike Batt’s compilation CD, The Orinoco Kid, will be re-released in May. It was previously only available as part of The Mike Batt Music Cube, the 16-disc box set released in December 2009.
There have been rumours in the press that The Wombles could play Glastonbury Festival this year – but Mike Batt appears to have denied them.
