Womble craft and outdoor trail at Sudbury Hall

Half-term at Sudbury Hall and the National Trust Museum of Childhood, Derbyshire (near Uttoxeter)

Sudbury Hall

The Wombles were created in the 1960s, the same decade that the National Trust started looking after Sudbury Hall.

To celebrate Sudbury’s 50 years with the National Trust we’re taking it back to where it all started. A lot has changed since then but we thought it was about time we introduced some old favourites to the next generation this half-term.

Womble craft

Monday 13 to Friday 17 February, 12pm to 3.30pm

Make a Womble desk tidy to keep the clutter from your desk. Wombles are renowned for collecting lots of things so it only seemed fitting we made something to help them (and you) keep your treasures tidy!

These craft activities are drop-in sessions between 12pm and 3.30pm, in the Museum Learning Rooms, which are upstairs in the museum. There is lift access to all three floors of the Museum of Childhood.

Tickets are £1 per child, in addition to normal admission charges. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Pick up a special Womble trail sheet from the museum reception and start your Womble adventure.

This event is free (donations welcome), but normal admission charges apply for the venue. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
