Wimbledon Village Fair 2012

The Wimbledon Village Fair 2012 posterAs the Wimbledon Guild’s flagship fundraising event, the Wimbledon Village Fair attracts up to 20,000 visitors, and features over 200 craft stalls, a horse show and fun dog show, two mouthwatering food villages and a high-quality farmers’ market.

Meet Haydon the Womble

AFC Wimbledon football club will have a merchandise stall and a speed/accuracy test, and their Community Football Scheme coaches will be running a Beat the Goalkeeper competition to win free tickets for a 2012/13 League 2 match. Haydon the Womble will, of course, be on hand during the day for photo opportunities.

Fun for all the family

It’s a brilliant day out for everyone, with loads of fun activities including the Children’s Village, Mr Alexander’s travelling show, pony rides, the exhilarating Zorb Balls, rodeo sheep, human table football, candy floss and Krispy Kremes.

Enjoy live entertainment

A huge variety of live performances take place on the main stage all day long including a star act from The New Wimbledon Theatre and funky beats from the Berkeley Homes’ Jazz Tent.

Sample fresh and tasty treats at the food villages and tea garden

The International and British Food Villages cater for all tastes with everything from burgers, hog roast, paella and toasties to Thai, Moroccan and Hakka Chinese and Indian food on offer.

Challenge the celebrity

The fair will be officially opened at 11am by former Dancing on Ice contestant, free runner and James Bond actor Sebastien Foucan. He will set this year’s challenge on The Big Red Balls, based on the BBC1 TV show Total Wipeout – beat his time and win a prize. Sebastien will then be available for photo opportunities and autographs in exchange for donations.

Win amazing prizes in the raffle

The famous Wimbledon Village Fair raffle will be offering great prizes including restaurant vouchers, theatre tickets, spa treatments and gifts galore. Tickets will be on sale across the fair for just £1 each.

Making the fair happen

The fair would not be possible without you and the help of the fair’s sponsors. Bring your family and friends to enjoy all the fair has to offer, knowing that you are supporting the Wimbledon Guild to raise money to continue its work supporting some of the most vulnerable people in the local community.
